DUCT TAPE PURSE

DUCT TAPE PURSE

  • First start with your materials: scissors, a ruler if needed, and your favorite color duct tape.
  • Second start with a 14 inch piece of tape and over lap that piece with another but only half way so you leave some adhesive on the top or bottom.

  •  Third keep over lapping them till you have about 8 to 10 pieces.

  • Now cut of the edges so you cant see any adhesive. Your cut doesn't have to be perfect.

  • Next you want to fold your starting piece in half the long way.
  • Then tape the sides of your folded purse.
  • Now lets start your strap. There are two different types of straps you can make. The first way is cut a piece of tape that is a little over 12 inches. Then take a piece that's 10 inches and put the two pieces together sticky side to sticky side and leave some adhesive on both the right and left side. Now put it on the sides of the purse and you have a strap.

  • The second way is basically a braid. Get three pieces of 12 inch duct tape. Now rip (or cut) all three pieces half and then fold both sides.

  • Now take a two inch piece of  tape and put it at the end of all three pieces of tape.

  • start braiding till you cant braid any more then tape both ends to the side of the purse.
  • You now have a complete purse.

DUCT TAPE FLIP FLOPS

FLIP FLOPS:

  • First you need your main materials: scissors, something to trace your foot, glue if needed, and duct tape.

  • second trace your foot on a card board box (I used a cake box) and cut it out to use as your flip flop.

  •  Third start wrapping your duct tape around your cut out piece.
  • Next you want it to be strait so when you do (because of the curves) you will have extra tape, just push them together and cut it off.
  • After wrap your whole shoe in the duct tape and then cut a long enough strip that if you folded it in half it would still fit around your foot.
  • Then take that strip and fold it in half leaving adhesive on the bottom. Then fold over the fold you just made so you cant see any more adhesive.
  •  Now cut a hole in between your big and pointer toe. Then fold your strip in half and slip it through the hole.

  •       Now tape down the little tab sticking out. Also measure your foot and then tape down the straps.
  • You finally have a finished duct tape flip flop.

duck tape crafts

DUCK TAPE ROSE:

  • First you need your basic materials: Your favorite duck tape, a wire pipe cleaner or pen (just something to use as a stem), scissors and a ruler are optional.
  • Second wrap your stem in green (or any color) duck tape.
  • Third you start with a 2 by 2 inch piece of tape.  It doesn't have to be perfect.
  • Then fold that piece as a triangle and leave some adhesive on both sides.
  • Take the right side and fold it to the left as a triangle again and leave some adhesive on the bottom only.
  • After you want to take it and wrap it all the way around your stem. Its kinda like the bud of your rose.

  • Take steps three and four and make three more petals. Then start wrapping them around the bud. By now you should have four petals wrapped around each other.

  • Next you want to make another petal and stick your finger in the middle of the petal to make it bulge out.Make three more of these same petals.

  • Now gently start putting petals all around those till it looks like a beautiful rose.

    • There are so many different colors of duck tape that you don't have to do one solid color, like the pictures above. Also I used a wire, put a rose on it and wrapped it around a flip flop (you can also wrap it on laces or hot glue it on heels or flats).
